The Educational Resources Centre is a non-profit Trust, registered in India, to further the understanding of India, its people and culture, through educational programmes and teaching materials.

It is a successor to the curriculum development centre of the same name founded in 1966 by the New York State Education department to provide materials on India for American schools and undergraduate teachers and students. In 1986 it was registered in India as a wholly Indian Trust. It continues to work in the development of improved teaching materials on India in the social sciences, and arranges study programs for students and educators in India and abroad.

It provides Consultancy services in educational programs such as Teacher Training, and Student Development. It organizes periodic workshops for faculty in human resource development and counselling services.
