Programs

Since 1992, ERC has undertaken serveral projects in the field of education. It completed a study on the Rabaris of Kutch for the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA). An archival collection of the embroideries and artifacts in the life of the Rabaris supplemented with audio-visual documentation and catalogue was highlighted at an exhibition of the collection organised  by IGNCA.

It has also undertaken Studies of Women in Panchayati Raj with Lady Irwin College and a study of Delhi city schools for the Delhi State Commission for Women.

Since 1995 ERC has been engaged in the Campus Diversity Initiative which is an ongoing project involving over sixty colleges and seven universities throughout India. This project is funded by the Ford Foundation and is now completing its second three-year Phase.

Academic Programmes

• Prepared orientation and background study materials for semester-in India programmes for undergraduate students from American colleges;
  

• Organized Faculty Development Seminars for American colleges and universities;
  

• Arranged lectures for groups visiting India from other countries.
