The Trust was founded with a Board of three Trustees. Prof. G. Ram Reddy, then Vice Chancellor of Osmania University and later Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Dr. Bina Roy, former President, International Federation of University Women and Mrs. Sharada Nayak, former Executive Foundation in India, who continues as Managing
Trustee.
The present Trustees include Dr. Shobita Punja, art educator and author, and Dr. Krishen Kak, I.A.S, who is also founder of the
Gayatri Trust, Dr.Narayani Gupta, Professor of History, Jamia
Millia Islamia - University, New Delhi.
After her retirement as Executive Director of the US, Educational Foundation in India, Mrs. Sharada Nayak took over as Managing Trustee of the ERC Trust to revitalize the work of the new Centre. Along with a small full time staff and project consultants she has enlarged the work of the Centre to include student projects in India. With her continued commitment to intercultural education and understanding she brings to the Centre her experience of twenty-five years in the field and many links with educational agencies in India and abroad. For her contribution to intercultural education Mrs. Nayak has received Distinguished Service Awards from the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, the Council on International Educational Exchange, the Committee for Teaching Asia of the Association of South Asian Studies, and the T. M. A. Pai Foundation, Manipal.
An Advisory Board provides academic guidance in developing the annual programmes of the Centre, Consultants and staff co-ordinate and work with the Advisory Board members and specialists on specific research and publication projects.

ERC is a registered non-profit charitable Trust. Contributions to the Trust are deductable under section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act.
